Second approver plays a critical role in reviewing and approving campaigns before they go live, helping to prevent errors and safeguard brand reputation. Currently, this approval process is supported across major ad platforms, including Meta, Google, TikTok, DV360, Snapchat, and Spotify.
How to apply second approver settings while creating the guideline:
- When creating a new guideline on platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, DV360, Snapchat, and Spotify, you will find the “second approver” option within the campaign section. You can also customize the text and set specific conditions, such as targeting particular ad accounts, and more.

- In the guideline settings, you can select the checkbox to ensure that only users with the 'Full Admin Access' or 'Campaign Approver' roles are allowed to approve campaigns. Additionally, by clicking on "More Options," you can customize the warning message, modify the text, or add a link or image as needed.

- Under the "Apply Conditions" section, you can specify ad accounts, campaign objectives, campaign names, settings, campaign flow, and user teams. Ad accounts and user teams are particularly important, as the second approver will be selected from either the assigned ad accounts or user teams responsible for approving the campaign.
How to use second approver process:
- Once a campaign guideline is created, the workflow ensures that an approved campaign can not go live.
♦ Meta / DV360 / Snapchat: The user can only publish the campaign in OFF mode. Once published, an approver must approve it. After approval, anyone can turn the campaign on.
♦ Google / TikTok / Spotify (newly added platform): The user creates and saves the campaign as a draft. It can’t be published until approved. Once approved, the draft can be published by anyone.
- At the final stage of campaign setup, the second approver is prompted to review and confirm compliance.

- Once the campaign is approved, it will be eligible for publishing.
